What Is Wellness?

What comes to mind when you think of the word “Wellness”? Do you picture yourself in a quiet oasis getting a massage and relaxing, or does your mind start wondering off to a place flooded with positivity and happiness? Either way, you aren’t too far off from either of those thoughts. Wellness is the overall state of your entire Being; Mind, Body and Soul.

Wellness is about how you are doing physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Let’s dissect each one of those to ensure we are taking positive steps to the success of our wellness.

Being physically well is not limited to the practice of exercise, although this does play a major role. It is important to remember that your body is a temple, and returns the love you show it.  It is best to be as easy on your physical avatar as possible, especially when it comes to labor. Do your best to avoid as much hard labor as you possibly can during your working days, and if perhaps you cannot, be sure to do something to counteract the hardship you endure. For instance, if you do a lot of back-breaking work, then at the end of every night it is best to do stretches or yoga poses associated with realigning your spine. Doing things of this nature can help prevent back issues in the future. Being physically well can also pertain to your personal hygiene and self-care. When you feel and look your best, you do and perform at your best; when you do and perform at your best, you give and receive the best. Creating routines of personal hygienic and self-care habits, is a part of being mindful of your physical wellness.

Emotional wellness always has a way of presenting itself intimidatingly, and seems to be overwhelmingly confusing for most. Majority are not taught how or even why being emotionally aware is significant and beneficial to the development of our lives as adults. When we discover why it is important to stand in the space of our emotions rather than running in attempts at avoiding things we may not feel ready to deal with, it eases the path of learning how to move through those emotions to make it to the other side. Becoming well emotionally is how we begin to feel complete as a person and find comfort and happiness in being ourselves. One way to begin is to write down your unhealed trauma and find ways of releasing, so that you can replace.

So many people bunch wellness and spirituality in the same group, and with valid reasons to do so. When you become spiritually aware and begin to ensure you are living through love and innerstanding, it’s almost impossible to accomplish without being in a constant state of mindfulness. Being in a constant state of mindfulness is to be consistently aware of the over-all wellness of your avatar: the human body. Meditation, exercise, awareness, and reflection are a few simple ways to being your spiritual wellness journey.

Just like physical wellness is associated with exercise and movement, being mentally well is associated with the exercise and metaphorical movement of your brain! Your brain never shuts down, never sleeps, is never quiet and never still. It is in an infinite state of existence, to be everlasting through every realm. To think a thought you must already be thinking about thinking; it is the emptiness and fullness of completely nothing and absolutely everything. Your mental is the starting place for peace, love, and happiness. When you take steps to becoming mentally well, it trickles down like corporate punishment. A great way to embark on the journey of mental wellness is to write down some of your negative thinking and find a positive replacement.

Wellness is getting recognized more and more as a significant foundation and solution for the over-all healthiness of our entire population. Get Well, Get Wealthy!

Don’t Give Up, You’re Almost There

This is for you. The one who feels like a complete failure, again. You let them in and they destroyed what little love you have left lingering around inside, even though you expressed the need to never feel that way again. You tried to be happy but you just couldn’t find a reason. This is for you. The one who struggles with suicidal thoughts and wonders if the world would be better off without you. If anyone would miss you or even notice if you were gone. This if for you. The one who battles with depression masked with fabricated laughter and smiles that no none seems to even care to notice. This is for you. The one who wrestles with self-loathing ideas because you believe in your ability to always “fuck shit up” based on past perceptions.  The idea that you were never good enough, and that will never change. This is for you. The one who constantly argues with themselves about how selfish it is to do something for you. How easily you’re placed last in line because, hey, why not right? This is for you. The one who fights with others to have their own voice minus the concern of offensiveness. Who spend their days in defensiveness towards their own rights and capabilities to possess control of Self. This is for you.

    You are not alone. You are not the only one battling this war on self.  You’re backed by Universal energies and the frequencies of those you’ve loved that have transitioned into another existence. You are never alone!

    So this is for you. You’re not a failure, you just figured out another option that doesn’t work. Keep going the path is being paved as we speak. This is for you. Fuck that selfish person that tried to destroy you after everything you’ve been through. Their karma awaits them. Your karma for them is to go be dastardly happy! This is for you. The one who has to search for reasons to smile, YOU are the only reason you’ll ever need to smile!  This is for you. NO the world is NEVER better off without you! YES the world would miss you! YES the world would be a darker place without the Light of your Spirit. And YES there are plenty of people who would be saddened by your departure. This is for you. Those fabricated smiles will turn into genuine joy, and you will attract those that care to notice when your joy fades. This is for you. You’re not perfect and we ALL fuck shit up throughout this lifetime. You’re not alone. You will never be perfect but will always and INFINITELY be good enough! This is for you. Self-care and self-appreciation IS NOT SELFISH! And they are mandatory for being able to hold down the fort. This is for you. SPEAK THAT BEAUTIFUL MIND and NEVER deplete your energy for the entitled comfort-ability of someone else. Your truth is beautiful! This is for you!

How Positive Affirmations lead to Self-Evolution

Since grade school we are often taught how to harbor things that cause us harm or are painful to experience, so that we learn not to be so soft in such a tough and hardcore world. What we aren’t being shown is how to heal from those childhood traumas, which we usually end up dragging with us into adulthood and converting them into characteristics. Not only are we not taught how to heal these traumas, we’re not taught what to look for in regards to the strength of our mental health, or how to go about evolving the process of our thinking.
